Village of Garigaon

I have twice visitied Nepal searching for the home village of a young 16 year old Gurkha soldier who died in Iraq in 1941. I beleive the village of Garigaon is in the Dhankuta or Ilam area. Can anyone help in my search ?

I contacted friends in kathmandu, and I%26#39;m afraid that they could only reply as follows:

Dear Alan,

We could not find the the village called Garigaon in both Dhankuta and Illam Districts.

Is it possible to find bit more information about the soldier so that we could try further??

Is there anything else you can add ?
