KAthmandu to Delhi

does anyone know the best way to travel from Kathmandu to Delhi, where i need to pick up an on ward connection, trains, buses, cheap flights, which is save for femail travelling alone?

You can get a flight for about... £60 - £80 pound, but try and book it in advance because it%26#39;s a really busy route. Has to be the easiest way. The bus takes a long long time and the roads in Nepal can often be closed due to landslides/political problems, and are not the best anyway! I%26#39;d recommend flying.

You might get a slightly cheaper flight flying to Varanasi, then to Delhi, but it%26#39;ll obviously take longer and involve changing.

What airlines should I stay away from using but still get a low price. India and Jet are expensive.

Just wondering what you found out as I%26#39;m now looking for a cheap flight from Kathmandu to Delhi. Someone posted 60 - 80 pounds - that would be fine. Could you tell me what Travel Agency you used to book or what airline you took to get to Delhi?

The least expensive option I found was with Jet Lite. I am traveling in May 2009 from DEL to KTM and then back to DEL. For whatever reason, I could not book on line, so I called a US travel agent in New York City. The travel agent purchased the round trip ticket at a rate of $224 + tax = $310. The travel agent then mailed the paper ticket to me.
