Has anyone had experience with this company? I am starting to plan a trip - first time for asia, so looking for an easy to deal with group, not keen on trying to sort it when I get there. Thanks.
World Expeditions- anyone used them?
Yep, I did Everest High Passes with WE. Fantastic company. Have also used Exodus %26amp; Explore and gone independently, but would rate WE above all the others.
I thought they just planned better and appeared to be good employers. Our cook, sirdar and guide had been with the company for many years. Will definitely use them again. The staff on the ground in KTM were also great. Even after our tour ended, we were in Nepal for a further 5 weeks and they still sorted things out for us.
They use extra acclimatisation days to other companies on the higher treks and also carry better medical equipment (not that other companies don%26#39;t have the correct stuff, it%26#39;s just that WE go a bit further). If it had not been for the Gammow (sp?) bag they took, I would not have made it!!
Also quite a few of our fellow trekkers had used WE on other occassions.
Cannot rate them any higher!

Thanks for that. We are looking at an Annapurna trek - have you been in that area? How did it go? Do you have experience of teahouse vs camping - which would you choose? Thanks.
Another question - are they running the tour as employers, or do they suncontract to a local firm? Anyone know?
I recently used WE for a Everest base camp trek and was VERY dissappointed. We had very little contact with the Nepalese people, our guide could hardly speak English and the equipment they provide was very much sub par. If you consider using them bring your own tent and sleeping bags or you will freeze!
You say you fancy a trek in the Annapurnas = which trek - the Circuit or the Sanctuary ?
