HELP! Itinerary Suggestion

Hello Forum!

We are planning to take two weeks off work and fly to Kathmandu from New Delhi, but are very keen to see a bit of India as well (when in Rome and all that!). We were thinking of spending a night or so in New Delhi and go on a day trip to see the Taj Mahal (hopefully by train). I was just wondering the following...

1) If we do stay in India for a bit, would we have enough days in Nepal to pull together a decent itinerary? I should think we%26#39;d have around ten whole days in Nepal...

2) I undrstand October is a great time to visit Nepal, is this true?

3) Can anyone suggest where I can find cheap flights? So far I have found flights through Air India and Jet Lite, which are both quite reasonable...

Many thanks,

MartyMarty

10 days of time in Nepal would be sufficient to see a variety attractions it has to offer but not enough if you want to do some medium length trekking.

October is the best season for travel to Nepal.

Nepal Airlines (http://www.royalnepal-airlines.com/), Druk Air (http://www.drukair.com.bt/) also offer flights in the Kathmandu Delhi sector.

Some of the things that you could do in that time, if you have not decided what to do, are sightseeing in Kathmandu, mountain flight to see Everest, pargliding in Pokara, rating, elephant safari in Chitwan National Park.
