We are a group of 5 people and we are going to be in Kathmandu the 1 of November 2009 we are would like to do the Overland Tour from Kathmandu to Lhasa (way back by palne)

We have to be back in Kathmandu the 7 of November ! The trip MUST include the Everest Base Camp excursion,

If this can help, for the formal paper work, we are going to travel through Kathmandu the 26 October

Do you tink that is possible to do this trip in 5 days plus 1 day in lasha?

We think if you increase one day in your plan you can do easily but in 5 days it most be very tight schedule.

5 days will be taken from Kathmandu to Lhasa and if you willing to do one day sightseen in Lhasa it most be needed 5 days + one day,but if you want we can consider to operate in 5 days.

So this is our time scale, so you get an idea of what we want to do. I Know that the first of november is Sunday so i was suggesting that we can do the paper work the 26 october and save one day

HI and how are you? 5 people is enough to one group.you don%26#39;t need to group .you can start tour with your plan and desire. if you would like to look Everest you have a option to do Lhasa Everest BC tour.but it take more day then you time.

I did that trip twice.

You can make the Kathmandu -Lhasa trip in 5 days.

Usually is 7 nights and 8 days (All the tour operator

doing the same trip.) Trips leaving On Thuesdays and Saturdays because the connection with the flight back from Lhasa to Kathmandu(2 flights a week)

I recommend to book the Lhasa overland tour ahead because the embassy is open only 1 or 2 hours daily and sometimes closed.If you send a photocopy of your passport they can start to apply for the TTB(tibet permit) for you. And when you arrive takes only 1 day to get the permit otherwise if you just start to apply for permit when you arriving it will take 4-5 days
