Poon Hill to Pokhara - which trail to choose?

Hi, experienced guys!

Me and my wife plan to go from Jomsom to Poon Hill - and down to Pokhara. My understanding is, there is basicall two ways from Poon Hill:

1. Ghorepani - Hille - Birethanti , two days, with more than 3000 steep steps in one of them

2. Ghorepani - Tadapani - Ghandruk - Birethanti , three days, hopefully less strenuous.

Which way to choose, taking into consideration both load on knees and beauty

of the trail? What are realistic (I mean, not for sherpas) estimations of the walking hours in every option?

Thank you

Poon Hill to Pokhara - which trail to choose?

Hello there,

As A professional trekking guide I am always providing knowledge about trekking in Nepal to the people from abroad and I am also offering you some information that I know.

So, the trail choosing depends upon you but I think its better to choose the 2 way. The ways is not much hard and you can get more attractions on the trail.

You need to walk for around 6-7 hours a day in both options.

My friend please do not compare your life with few money and do not hesitate to hire a guide for your own safely. Who know if you get problem on the trail?

Have a nice day and best of luck for your trekking.

Regards,
