Somple trek in Nepal - where and whom with?

Me and my wife planning to make a simple trek from Katmandu ( about a week, easy to moderate, not expensive). Have no Nepal experience; among the options- Poon Hill or Namche Bazar . I think we%26#39;ll use some local agency. Would appreciate some help from

people with first-hand experience : should we arrange the trip in advance or it can be done in Katmandu? Recommendation for reliable agency? Some ';must see '; destinations?

Sorry for primitive questions - I%26#39;m first timer in Nepal.

Somple trek in Nepal - where and whom with?

Hi there

I can recommend these two companies as reliable tour operators and importantly good employers:

Highland Excursions Nepal Pvt Ltd

PO Box 12733 Baluwater

Kathmandu

Tel 4-413850/4-414783

and

Himalaya Expeditions Inc

PO Box 105

Kathmandu

I have travelled with both of them and they were excellent.

You could try just arranging the trek in KTM when you get there. I have also done that but the company is no longer in business. My tip is to meet your meet your guide and porter(s) BEFORE you agree to book to ensure you can get along with them and you are happy that the guide speaks your language well enough and be sure that the itinerary is possible and to your liking.

Forgot to say both Annapurna and Everest regions are amazing for trekking, so you really can%26#39;t go wrong with your choice. I would try to factor in more than a week if possible. You will get further and see/experience more.

Hello Friend,

How are you doing?

I am really happy to know that you are coming to Nepal for a trekking. As a trekking guide I am always providing information to people from abroad and I am also doing the same thing.

First of all I want to tell you that if you see the address of the office of trekking agency then that might not be a good company and try to find out lots of companies on the web. I am also working in a company but I am not giving you their address because I believe in professionalism. I had been selected as a grade guide when I got the license.

So, if you want to do a moderate and cheap trekking then the best option can be Langtang region and its one of the better trekking route in Nepal. You can get lots of attraction on this trek and can be done in about 10 days.

So if you need any more information then please feel free to contact me directly.

Have a nice day.

Best Regards,
