Janai Purnima : exact date for 2009 in Patan ?

We would like to attend the Janai Purnima festival at the Kumbeshwar temple in Patan in August 2009.

As we will be going to Patan only 1 day, we would like to attend this festival.

I tried to find out the exact date of this festival and found some sites refuring to 5th of August 2009, others 6th of August 2009.

Does anyone know for sure if it is on the 5th of August 2009 or the 6th of August 2009 in Patan ?

It is 5th of August. I looked at the recently published calendar for the coming new year in Bikram Sambat era, and the festival is on the 5th.

On the 6th, there is also another festival - Gai Jatra - celebrated in the Kathmandu valley .

I looked on the web to see the dates of full moon, because Janai Prunima is held on full moon day.

On the web I found August 6 2009 being a full moon day, so I presumed it would be on August 6 2009.

I know that the festival of Gai Jatra (The Cow Festival) is held the day after.

As we are still in Kathmandu on that date, any suggestion were we could go to in Kathmandu to best see the Gai Jatra ?
