weather in jun july for everest bast camp trek

Hi,

I am considering an everest base camp trek from either Jiri or Lukla starting approx June 20, or the August 7th.

Anybody have any reports on what the weather is like and if june/july is better than August.

Is there too many clouds to really make it worth your while going then,

Whats a typical rain pattern for a few days or a week and how does it affect your trekking

thanks

derek

Late June to mid September is the rainy season in Nepal and it rains quite a lot during this time. But it does not mean that it rains all the time. The rain pattern are very uncertain. Sometimes, it might not rain for quite some days while at other times, it might rain continuously for some days. It might rain in the afternoon, evenings and any time of the day.

If you are lucky, then the clouds and rain might not bother you. If you do go for trekking during this time, be prepared against the rain and leech that will bother you on your trekking.
