jogging and fitness

I am travelling to Nepal to volunteer for 8 weeks. I jog most mornings. I could be based in any of the following areas: Katmandu and surrounding villages, Pokhara.,Chitwan. I realise general everyday life will be active but would like to maintain my current daily jogetc. Is this possible? Any suggestions? Thamks for your help.

It will be a bit of a challenge in KTM, depending on where you are located. The air can be terrible there and you can easily end up with the kathmandu crud from the significant particle mix in the air. Pokhara has some great options and in fact, they have a marathon there. Chitwan, as i recall, would ahve a few options along dirt roads. just watch out not to get chased by a rhino!

Thanks for the info, I%26#39;ll watch the rhinos!!! I%26#39;ve read there are gyms at some hotels in Katmandu that allow visitor usage ? Have you heard of anyone using these when they%26#39;re not a hotel guest ? Is the air so bad in Katmandu that walking is out of the question as well?

I am unsure on the gym use, had not heard of that before. TAhe kathmandu air is bad in spring as there are inversions and little rain. My wife ended up coughing a lot, didn%26#39;t bother me so much.
